A Humble heart – many people think that being humble means to grovel in front of others, or even, think they’re no good and others are better.

That’s not what the Bible says –  God says when we’re humble, we’re free from pride and arrogance. We know that in our flesh we are inadequate, yet, we also know who we are in Christ.

We don’t need to defend ourselves when we understand what the Bible says about humility, for we know that we know that we know – who we are in Him.

We can be a peacemaker without needing to fight for our rights. We can walk humbly in the power of the Holy Spirit, and no, not in our own strength.

Godly humility is simply being comfortable with who we are in Him, and yes, therefore putting others first – the picture of humility in the Bible is one of a strong person who loves others, not someone who is a wimp.

It’s also recognizing that we need His help, knowing we can’t truly succeed in our own strength. It’s thanking Him for our talents and gifts, while yes, giving Him credit for our accomplishments.

It’s being comfortable with who you are in Him, and yes, seeking to build others up, not ourselves –  gratefully walking in His grace, love, and yes, full forgiveness.

The truth is – although Jesus was the son of God, He was gentle and humble, and yes, He was strong and mighty, and yes, we’re all made in His image – so yes, we need to humble up.

We are loved by love Himself.  He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes .. love wins period.

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death – even death on a cross!”  Philippians 2:5-8
