When we’re working to reconcile a hurt relationship, first and foremost, we must remember to  ‘listen for the hurt’ – that hurt that lies far beneath the complaint, far beneath the issue, or yes, even below the anger that may be associated with problem.

We already know there’s an issue, so yes, maybe another approach is in order, while yes, understanding the simple fact – hurt people hurt people.

When we’re happy and healthy, we don’t hurt others.  It’s when we are hurting that we find ourselves either lashing out at one another, or yes, curled up in a ball totally distant and immobilized – so yes, what we must remember – we all want and deserve respect.

It’s when we treat people with dignity, that yes, we’ll see the anger dissipate quickly, for yes, respect is always required on our part for all mankind.  And the best way to do this is to simply listen –  to look beneath the words they’re saying and see the hurt they’re expressing.

God gave us two ears and one mouth – twice to listen, with less to speak, while yes, always staying mindful that we’re seeking to understand rather than seeking to be understood.  Never missing the opportunity to show respect by listening to someone when they do hurt – for it’s then, that yes – we’re moved – to allow God to move, so yes, reconciliation can truly begin.

We are loved by love Himself.  He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes .. love wins period.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace”  Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
