Our friends and neighbors surrounding us are waking up this morning to their own devastation, along with, the overwhelming tasks and struggles faced in front of them.

The water rose and moved from the gulf, and now, today it’s rising from the rivers – the before and after effects of a slow moving, rain soaking storm named, Sally – lives are being changed and hearts are being broken at this very moment in time.

What do we do and what do we say when hearts hurt – we don’t always know.  However, what we do know is – when we’re feeling overwhelmed, fearful. and yes, uncertain on which way to turn – we can trust God.

We can flip over to the words of David as he reassures us that Our God is always in control of our journey, knowing one hundred percent, that no, fear is not an option.

For we know that we know that we know – He’s always with us, and yes, even though there are obstacles along our way, we have no good reason to be paralyzed with fear.

While we can only see the next step in front of us – He sees the whole road.

He knows what’s up ahead, and yes, we can count on Him being our faithful guide, right on up to the end of our days.

Just as He led the Israelites through the dessert  – in His ultimate compassion, He’ll shine His light on the road we’re to travel.

So yes, we join together in our community fashion, and yes, we work through the days ahead.  We do this with the faith in knowing – He’ll never ever abandon us in our time of need, and yes, He’ll provide the way, coupled with, comfort for our soul ..  all at it’s very best.

Friends, we are loved by love Himself.  He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes .. love wins period.

“When doubts filled my mind, your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer”    Psalm 94:19
