As the years go by and circumstances change – as people come in and out of our lives – we don’t always understand the reason why – however – it’s when the hurt begins to subside that we see the truth – and yes – it’s then that we know that we know that we know – God is in control and we simply don’t have to understand the reason why.

In spite of the loss and sadness some of this brings – it’s when we finally come to realize just what God’s purpose is for our lives – that our hearts become overwhelmingly full.

This doesn’t always happen suddenly or dramatically the way it did for Paul on the road to Damascus – there isn’t always visions or fire written on the wall. In fact, most of the time – we simply search and search, groping along with our lives filled with accidents and false goals.

Often we sense our purpose – and then – it’s shot down by the sometimes cruel business of today. Yet – He continues to keep tract of us – His floundering creatures.

With much of our lives filled with defeat and heartbreak we turn to Him – we begin to fight less furiously for those selfish and often empty goals – for yes – we can now clearly see – He’s turned our failures into stepping stones – and yes – we’re now stepping in the right direction.

Friends – however humble our circumstances or undramatic our talents – our true purpose is revealed – for the truth is – we’re all meant to be the person we are at this time and place – not only for ourselves, but for Him and all those we encounter along the way.

We’re meant to make this particular contribution to the world, and we must do it well. We must do it with faith and patience – and – with strength and passion.

In doing so – we will discover – who we really are in Him.

We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will.”   Romans 12:2
