Precious Memories

It’s early in the morning, we get up, we get our coffee, we sit at our computer and we look at the facebook to see what’s happening in the world in which we live. As like most of you. I’m distressed with what’s going on around us. Between trying to take away the freedom to even walk on the beaches that I’ve spent almost 61 years of my life walking on, and yes, the moaning and groaning and hatefulness that is taking over the feed, I’m heartbroken. However, as we look back through time, there’s always been something to distract us from the up side of life, and yes, I imagine always will. The truth is, life is indeed change, and yes, growth is indeed optional, and yes, haha, we must all indeed, choose wisely. Personally, some days I choose better than others. Yet, on this day and this beautiful morning, I came across this video of Roy Clark and Johnny Cash. It made me smile, it made me laugh and it made me cry, for yes, the memories of a time that was not like today fills my mind. A time of box TV’s, sitting around on the floor watching, singing, laughing, and yes, just plain enjoying time with family and friends. Something we should definitely do more of today. So yes, right now at this very moment, I’m thanking God for the gift of memories, the gift of being able to sit on a still quiet morning and reflect on the times gone by, and yes, the memories held dear. This particular memory of watching this show on tv as a child makes me happy. I can see the big tupperware bowl of popcorn popped, my mom and dad laughing and singing while my big brothers ran around like clowns, haha. It was a good day, and yes, a wonderful memory to hold and to share. So with this, I say thank you Lord for these precious moments in time. Thank you for giving us this wonderful gift to use whenever we need it. When we’re down, we can reflect on something good. When we’re fearful, we can reflect on what we’ve already overcome, and yes, when we feel like love is gone, we can reflect on Jesus and what He did for us all. For yes sweet friends, we are loved by love Himself, and no, no one can take that away from any of us, for yes, always and forever .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period
