He counts the hairs on our heads and He stores our tears in a bottle – simply because He cares.
Yes, I’m talking about God – and honestly I find that pretty amazing.
My head is full of flaming gray hairs, and the thought of trying to count them is absolutely ridiculous to me.
And those bottles of tears He keeps? They must be pretty big because most of us have cried many tears over the years – some from sadness, some from pain and many from blessings.
The truth is – life is life.
Things happen. Doors open and doors close. Jobs are lost. Health changes. Life moves in ways we never expect.
But friends – it’s often through these very circumstances that God chooses to speak to us.
After all, He once spoke to Moses through a burning bush. Can you imagine Moses’ face when God’s voice came out of the flames? If that happened today, we’d all be standing at perfect attention.
But most of the time – it’s not like that. God doesn’t always speak loudly or dramatically. More often, He speaks quietly to our hearts, nd deep down – we know it’s Him.
And we also know that whatever He says will never contradict His Word. If it’s written there and we can trust it as truth.
God knows how to speak to each one of us. We’re all different, yet to Him we are all the same. Sometimes He even sends people across our paths just to confirm what He’s already placed in our hearts.
He determines our steps. None of us could have scripted the journey we’ve been on. Yet when we look back, we can see how He used our experiences to shape us into who we are today.
And if you can’t see that yet, take another look tomorrow or the next day.
Because sometimes our circumstances aren’t very good. But we can’t allow them to keep us from hearing or following what God has planned for us.
In fact – it’s often in our darkest days that His voice becomes the clearest. We just have to slow down – rest and listen.
We need His perspective in every situation.
As followers we want to hear from Him, but life moves fast and sometimes we feel completely overwhelmed. In those moments we simply have to stop and ask for clarity. And we shouldn’t be afraid to ask.
His desire in speaking to us is eternal. Our mission is simply to learn how to hear His voice.
When we listen carefully, we begin to hear Him clearly – even through all the noise of this world.
As I sit here thinking about it, my heart is full of gratitude. Because God hasn’t given up on us. No matter who we are or what we’ve done – He still wants us to hear His voice of love and feel His touch of grace.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us bi and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period
“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left”. Isaiah 30:22
