There so many splintered and broken relationships that come out of pride.

Just as pride erects a barrier between us and God, it also builds a wall between ourselves and others.

Where love seeks to build a bridge, pride on the other hand, seeks to erect a wall.

It can keep us from apologizing when we’ve been wrong.

It can cause us to defend ourselves. It can cause us to look down on others, and yes, if we allow it – pride can rob us of our most treasured relationships in life.

Oh but friends, it’s in humbling ourselves that we’ll find, that yes, this is the way to get the roof off toward God, and to tear the walls down toward one another.

When offences have been committed, whether intentional or unintentional, we must stop, and deal with them immediately.

Reaching out asking for forgiveness, and simply, admitting our wrong.

These are healing words that only a humble soul would use – so yes, when we find a person who is willing to humble themselves before God and man – we’ve found a person who will be held in high esteem.

He wants us to love others like He loves us, and although, this can be a hard chore, it’s absolutely – a chore worth working.

We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period

“In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5
