We’ve been talking about disappointment. We’ve all been faced with it in our lives, and yes, when we do, we tend to ask what or why. What did we do, or, what did we not do, to stop this from happening. The answer is simple.
God has fashioned us with a mechanism for hope, and yes, the temporary gifts He’s so graciously given us may use this design plan from time to time, however, what we must understand is simple.
When it fails us in the short run, it won’t fail us in the long run.
For the truth is, our hopes will ultimately find their restful bliss in Him, for yes, He alone has the power to forever wipe away tears, He alone has the ability to satisfy the deepest longings of our souls, and yes, only He alone can heal our sick hearts.
The beautiful part of this is, the delay itself, only adds to the joy of fulfillment, and yes sweet friends, it’s worth the wait.
So we wait, for yes, we believe in our heart that He has so much more in store for us. We know in our heart, that yes, in His detailed plan, deferred hopes do so much more than collect mud.
Each rejection, every heartache, all the missed opportunities, are invested. They are sown like seeds that will have their time to bring forth fruit. The fruit may be as simple as time spent with Him while we walk through the healing process. It may look like a tender heart that’s a comfort to others, or maybe it will be, a thicker skin that’s ready to take on more of what life has in store.
Personally, what I do know is this. No ache will be wasted, for yes, everything has a purpose. When we feel we’ve been hit with one disappointment after another, we can one hundred percent trust, that yes, He’s going to cash all that in one day.
So no, we don’t lose hope, We continue to hope for the things we want even though we know it may bring heartache at times.
And when that happens, we simply stay mindful to remember. Ache means growth if we’re following Him. Our longing reminds us that ultimate satisfaction is waiting in what’s to come. So yes, we continue to prayerfully, yet logically hope for good desires, while all the while, offering it up to Him, and yes, trusting that He has a purpose, whether it be in heartache, or yes, in fulfillment.
Bottom line. We served a God of love, He’s love itself, and yes, He loves us so big, and yes, we can trust Him with all our hopes and desires, for yes, His love is strong, and yes .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period
