What an awesome weekend we’ve had.   It’s weekends like this with brides and grooms and family’s filled with love in their heart and hope in their minds that make us know that we know that we know, this is in fact, what God has called us to do.

My heart is full this morning as I reflect on the weekend events and the love we witnessed.   As I sit here thinking about it I realize that this kind of love can only come from one source, and yes, that’s the God source.

I watched as He had His hand in every little detail.  The smiles and laughter coming from the many faces confirm that His love is alive in each of us.   I watched as the couple had their first look.   I watched as they placed their lock of love on our Monet Monet bridge and threw away the key to represent their love, that no, can never be broken.   I watched as they said their vows and committed themselves to one another for life.  I watched as they toasted their love in celebration with their family and friends.

I watched God move in a mighty way in everyone that was present.   It was indeed a beautiful evening.  I am grateful this morning to have been a small part of the wonderful start of two halves becoming a whole while moving to their next adventure together.

The truth is, life is an adventure, and no, we can’t let our eyes nor hearts stray from what it really is.   Yes, we’ll always have our ups and downs, we’ll face troubles, and yes, we’ll overcome them triumphantly, and yes, we’ll be able to do this, simply because, we have His love to carry us through.

So on this beautiful morning, with new memories fresh in my mind, I want to take a minute to thank all our people who help make these wonderful days.

First and foremost I say, thank you Lord God.

Secondly, I thank my son Donald, for being the other half of what makes our business whole, and yes, to my daughter in love, Cortney for holding down the fort while he does so. The heart he has for his work and his staff shows in all he and they do. We’ve had our rough days and events but we always come out moving forward with a positive mindset.

I’d like to thank all of our GBC Team.  From the office, to the kitchen to the set up grew, to the incredible floral creator who make our brides sparkle and shine, to the photographers who catch these kind of images that can melt a hard of stone, to the chefs, to the servers, to the bartenders, to the valet drivers, to the officiants, to the music makers, to the day of coordinators, to our officer, and yes, to the ones who clean behind us.   Each and everyone of you, totally ROCK!   Thank you all for making GBC look so darn good.

Last but not least, to my husband Bob.  As he struggles with his own struggles, there isn’t a day that he doesn’t love and encourage me to keep moving.  I love you Bobby.

Yes, sweet friends, It all boils down to love, for yes, God is love, and yes, He loves us big, and again and again .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period.
