Today is known as “Spy Wednesday” – the day in Holy Week when Judas agreed to betray Jesus for thirty pieces of silver.

And yes, as we know – no one loves us more than Jesus.

It was in His very mind that we were first conceived and with His love He became man so that we might become like Him – for He is love itself, and it was love Himself – that was betrayed by Judas.

It’s so easy for us to look back across time and shake our fists while wagging our tongues at this betrayer – yet – not look at ourselves and the many many times we’ve done the same with our choices, with our thoughts, with our words, and yes – with our very own actions.

So today – as we look back in time, we humble ourselves and we ask our God to keep us from despair – we ask Him to keep us safe, and yes – we ask Him to instill within us a deep sense of gratitude – for we know that we know that we know – He came and went in love.

We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period

“Then Judas Iscariot, one of the Twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus to them” Mark 14:10
