I wake up in the morning , I get my coffee and then sit down and reflect on my days, while doing my best to listen to the direction I am given.

This morning I’m thinking about forgiveness and how many times in my life where I have had to forgive – but even more times – have had to ask for forgiveness.

And yes, forgiveness – it can be a tough one depending on the circumstances

However, what we must remember is – it’s totally a spiritual act. To forgive we ultimately have to rely on God’s grace to accomplish it.

If we’re not careful, our own faults and weaknesses – they’ll jump right on in the way of our ability to do so – yet, we have the comfort of knowing that whatever we’re lacking – He can and will supply.

As we know, there are times when our need for His assistance is pretty darn intense, and yes, when we choose to forgive – our effort doesn’t rely on any other person, which in turn, makes it possible for us to move on to the next step of “reconciliation” – that multi-person process.

In order for us to reconcile with anyone – both sides must be ready and willing to do so.

We both have to choose to do whatever it takes to restore our relationship. It can be a long and painful process – oh but friends, I have personally found – when a relationship is reconciled – in the end t’s so well worth all the turmoil it took to get there.

The truth is – most always we’ll find – our relationship becomes stronger than it was before, and that that totally makes for full hearts.

We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes .. love wins period.

Be Forgiving

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8
