Living in a tourist driven area and being in the service industry, at times, can yes – be somewhat challenging.
People come and people go – and I mean in all areas of the spectrum – and yes – some are very easy to deal with, while others, just plain hard.
However, in the end it all boils down to the way we treat one another. God tells us that the way we treat people determines how He’ll treat us – clear communication is crucial in life and unless we learn to clearly do so in a grown up way – life will be hard.
So yes, sitting here this morning thinking on this powerful truth and bringing it into the big picture – it makes sense as to why we should bless those who curse us – and no, this doesn’t mean letting people take advantage of us or run over us – it simply means, when we bless others, we bring His blessings into our own lives, and friends – His blessings are far more important than the curses from other people.
The greatest benefit from following these instructions is that when we bless the ones that curse us, we do in fact, receive the greatest benefit – for there’s no doubt – He’s going to bless us – even when the cursing continues.
I know, it’s crazy – but it’s true.
So yes – holding on to this truth, we do the best we can with the situations we face, we close our eyes and say a prayer for those who are struggling – for we know that we know that we know, God has a bigger plan for all of us – whether we be the curs-er or the curs-ee.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period.
“Like a sparrow in its flitting, like a swallow in its flying, a curse that is causeless does not alight” Proverbs 26:2
