Forgiveness is necessary in this world we live.  God has graciously shown us this time after time after time.

Yet for some reason we find, forgiving ourselves is far more challenging than forgiving someone else, simply because, we have to live with ourselves and our thoughts twenty four seven.  However, despite the challenge, and yes, as the emotionally healthy people we are, we must forgive ourselves when we make a mistake

The truth is, when we can learn to forgive ourselves, we’re no longer pretending it didn’t happen.  We’re actually acknowledging that our actions have consequences.  However, what we must stay mindful to remember is, those consequences,  they don’t need to include self inflicted negative feelings.

When we don’t forgive ourselves, it’s like picking at an open would.  We only make a bad situation worse. The wound is already there and we must have control over our reaction to it, for yes,  it’s then and only then, that we can stop it from getting worse.

Bottom line.  We forgive ourselves when we make a mistake, for we know that we know that we know, when we do, it’s much easier to address the consequences of our actions in a much more productive way.   So yes, with this simple truth, let’s start this day facing what we need to face, head up and head on, for yes, with God as our guide, we can do it, so yes, let’s just do it.

Friends, we are loved by love Himself, He loves us big and strong.  He wants us to be free from any and all bondage that has it’s hold on us, while all the while, moving forward in love, for yes .. haha ..  oh yeah .. love wins period

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh ; rather, serve one another humbly in love.  For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”  Galatians 5:13-14
