“Self-Control” – of all the things we have to govern in this life, self is usually our greatest challenge.
It involves moderation, constraint, and yes, the ability to say “no” to those things where we for sure need to say no. We all need God’s self-control operating in our lives and in our personalities if we’re going to have any hope in getting cleaned up and live the life He would like us to live.
Without His help we have little victory over things, such as bad tempers, judgmental and critical spirits, and yes, the big one – unforgiveness.
The truth is, when we’re willing to yield to Him and allow Him to start to work all 9 of His fruits into our personalities, it’s then, we find ourselves starting to grow in ways and in areas that we never thought were possible in this life.
His supernatural power blows us away once we see how far He can really take us to become the person that He would like us to become – in Him. So yes, we simply stop, we let go, and yes, we let Him do His perfect work in our lives.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes .. love wins period
