Thinking this morning about how God wants us to live our lives .. and yes .. how we’ve all had the misconception that being “called” by God is something only missionaries .. pastors .. nuns .. and yes .. other church leaders experience .. however .. the Bible says “everyone” is called to serve Him by serving others .. and no .. haha .. we’re not saved by serving .. but yet .. we’re saved for serving .. we’re called to be free .. and friends .. until we can experience the transforming power of His grace in our life .. we’re just too enslaved by our own hurts .. our own habits .. and yes .. our own hang-ups to think much about others .. for the truth is .. without the freedom of forgiveness .. we end up serving for all the wrong reasons .. you know .. like trying to earn the approval of others .. trying to run away from our pain .. trying to remedy our guilt .. and yes .. even trying to impress God .. haha .. yes sweet friends .. it’s when we’re motivated by these illegitimate reasons that we’re bound to be burned out and bitter in the end .. so yes .. we’re to serve one another in love .. and yes .. no matter what we say .. what we believe .. or even .. what we do .. we’re bankrupt without love .. for yes .. He’s far more interested in why we serve others than how well we serve them .. He’s always looking at our heart .. for yes .. we’re made to serve willingly and eagerly .. out of love for Him along with gratitude for all He’s done in our lives .. haha .. yes .. it will always and forever be about “Love” .. for yes .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period
