We may define “compassion” as a heartfelt sympathy for someone else’s difficulties.
Loving compassion leads us to treat the person with mercy, kindness and patience rather than with harshness.
Compassion is so much more than sympathy, for yes, we feel the pain in the other person, leading us to a loving understanding that makes us respond appropriately to what that person says and does.
Therefore, we are patient, forbearing and tolerant, for yes, love helps us to understand, and yes, understanding leads us to be kind and patient.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes .. love wins period
“Put on a heart of compassion, kindness… and patience” Colossians 3:12
