Many of us often find ourselves doing things for others and wanting someone else to get the credit so they look good, and in turn, we look good – I know it sounds crazy but it’s true.

As I’m sitting here this morning looking at it in all the different ways, truth tells me – when rubber meets the road, God’s way is the only way.

We cannot control nor manipulate someone else’s love or integrity – we can’t fix things for ourselves or others that are out of our control. We can do things for others because we want to from our heart without question, but we cannot do these things to help restore something for someone else and pretend it fine, so we feel fine.

A lack of humility, which often stems from pride and a desire to be seen in a positive light is what we find on both sides of the coin – and friends – what we have to remember and stay rooted in, is simply – we are the light, God’s light – and yes, we shine bright by being honest, sincere and outright transparent.

So yes, we encourage others to be themselves – for doing this is where all the others will see them the way we see them – with love, admiration and respect, but more importantly – the way God sees them, for yes – He sees our heart and He know the pain, the desire and the joy we crave that resides within.

Bottom line – we have to give credit for where credit is due from our hearts – we are all blessed to be surrounded by much love simply for being ourselves – with all our faults, scares and insecurities.

For being who we are – in so many unselfish and selfish ways – the good, the bad and the ugly – we are accepted and we are loved – loved by others and loved by God.

Truth

We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period.

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves” Philippians 2:3-4
