I received a gift yesterday from my friend, Aleks. I don’t receive a lot of gifts and when I do – I find myself at a loss of words (I know, me with a loss of words is strange) yet – it happens at times and honestly, look at it – it’s so beautiful, and I was absolutely taken back by the generosity of the hand that painted it.

We have a gallery full of beautiful art – I enjoy this beauty on a daily basis. However, there’s something about getting something that was made just for me that absolutely changed my heart at the very moment I took it in my hands.

Gifts – we all give and receive them. Personally, it fills my heart with joy when I see something or I make something with someone else in mind – for then – it comes from a thought, turned into a purpose, and from there – becomes a gift from the heart.

Which is simply a present that expresses a feeling of love or affection for the person who receives it.

So yes, with this in mind – let’s all stay mindful to remember that every gift is a treasure – whether it be physical, mental or monetary – this person took the time to do something just for us in the way that they see fit. They literally thought about us as they saw the gift we now hold in our hands..

In my case with this Aleks Logasov painting we call “Honey Pond” which simply evokes a sense of tranquility and sweetness. I can honestly say, that I know without a shadow of doubt, that yes – with every stroke and every pastry bag full of paint he used – he thought of me and how much his beautiful vision of a vision would mean to me.

I am blessed beyond what I deserve in this life and I will cherish this gift forever – thank you Aleks for the love and friendship we share. It’s been an honor to watch you grow and develop your God-given talent, because as we know – this is what life is truly all about.

Lifting each other up and letting each other know we are loved, we are cherished, and yes – that each of us on a daily basis, can indeed, make a difference!

It’s really not that complicated.

We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver”

2 Corinthians 9:7
