When we’re hurt by someone close to us – it’s hard to move on in a positive light. The resentment builds and the mind takes it’s toll.
To move passed this – the first and foremost thing we must do is forgive – I read something that has stuck with me for years – and when applied – we’re able to move forward in a positive fashion.
It’s simply yet hard, but – we have to forgive – I’ve read it, studied and applied it numerous times in my life.
Forgiveness truly is the gift that we can give ourselves – that gift that enables us to stop picking at the scab and start making the plans for a release party to celebrate our healing and moving on. I love this analogy – and it works.
We simply cannot allow the dissappointment by others = allow the hurt, the bitterness and the resentment to take root in our heart, No sweet friends, we have to get to the root, we have to pull the weed all the way to the root, and then – we need to look at how we got here, and yes – where we need to go – to keep it from coming back.
And no – this doesn’t mean we have to pretend everything is okay – nor does it mean we’ll forget the hurt – it simply means – we’re now free to move on in a positive way.
Evertyhing in life is a process – and the truth is – that impossible problem of the heart is solved – when we realize that the problem – is only a tough decision waiting to be made.
And now – we can let the healing begin.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period
“As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us” Psalm 103:12
