Over the weekend as I was strolling through the television channels when I came across the story of Saul of Tarsus, also called Paul.  We all know the story, He was travelling the road to find followers of Jesus, only to imprison them, when he was struck down, and yes, heard the voice of God saying,  “Saul Saul, why do you persecute me?”

At that very moment, he had a miraculous conversion experience and began preaching that Jesus is the Messiah with a boldness that changed history.

These movies are always hard to watch as the violence in those days were open and viewed daily for everyone to see.  Paul was imprisoned and eventually beheaded in a public forum, but not before he made it possible for us to receive half of the New Testament.

He was absolutely a rock star of an Apostle of Christ.

So as I sit here this morning thinking about the story, and yes, my own first encounter with Christ, and no, although not as dramatic as his, I find it to be the same effect, and yes, I think we can all agree.

Life changing, is what comes to mind.

For the truth is, everyone of us are called by God, and yes, when we heed His calling, we do experience a miracle.  The opening of our heart and mind to understand His truth. And yes, although this miracle of ours may have been silent, it’s one of the greatest possible miracles we’ll ever receive. For yes, it’s given us the chance to be part of the family of the all-powerful Creator, who fought to to get to us, and yes, is still continuing to fight for us today, while yes,  continually answering our prayers, and yes, giving us the confidence we need to do battle against any kind of power that seeks to control our heart.

No, we may never have to fight off kings and armies, however, we can count on Him to give us the strength to defend our peace, that yes, is found in Him.

Bottom line.  We are loved by love Himself, and no, no matter the day, the year, or even the century, we’ll continue to find, that yes  .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period.

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us”   Romans 8:37
