We’ve all been given unique talents. Those wonderful gifts from God. We all have them, and yes, it’s what makes us, and yes, it’s what sets us apart from one another.
It wasn’t His intention when He gave us our gifts to use them to make a lot of money, retire, and then die. If we think that, we missed the major point of life, for yes, He gave each of us talents to benefit others, while yes, He gave other people talents to benefit us.
There’s a big difference between sharing our gifts with the world, and yes, downright showing off, for yes, this is where the enemy stick his ugly head. He wants us to feel embarrassed and ashamed of our own abilities. He wants us to think we’re not worthy of our gifts. He wants us to think people will laugh and ridicule us. He’ll do anything and everything to shoot down our confidence, simply because, he’s afraid of what will happen when we let our light shine.
Oh but friends, we can’t hide our light. It isn’t ours to hide. It was given to us out of love, by love Himself, who is the foundation of light. And that same light of His, shines within each and everyone of us. We all have a spark of Divine in us, and yes, when we deny that part of ourselves, we’re also denying Him. so no, we cannot, nor will not, allow that to happen.
Truth. Each of us have a responsibility to share ourselves with the world. Not in a way that proclaims us to be better than anyone else, but most certainly, in a way that uplifts and enriches those we meet. We owe it to the world. We owe it to ourselves, and without a shadow of doubt, we owe it to Him. So yes, we shift our perspective and realize that by hiding our light, we’re not serving anyone, for yes, love unexpressed is not love at all.
Even though we may feel empty, there’s something inside each of of us. If may be chaos or joy, it may be optimism or pessimism, or yes, even hope or doubt. But something’s there, and yes. if we don’t like what it is, we have the ability to change it, simply by the power of our thoughts.
Here we are on a beautiful Sunday morning. I say, let’s take this very moment in time, and yes, reach down into our soul, and yes, find that long forgotten dream, that sense of excitement we once had, that knowingness that we could change the world by simply, making it just a little bit brighter, Then yes, reclaim that dream.
It’s never really left us, it just got covered up with a little dust. Today, we shake it off, we put in on our mantle of hope, we infuse it with new life, and yes, we allow it to come into Being, for yes, we’re the only one holding ourselves back, and yes, when we realize this truth we’ll no doubt, be singing, “this little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine” for Him who so graciously gives us this awesome life of light we live.
Yes sweet friends, God is love, and yes, he loves us big, and yes, forever and a day .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period
