Living in the Moment

As I sat down thinking about what to share this morning ..  I went over to the Facebook .. and yes .. like many days the video of my home church and my long time Pastor and friend preaching yesterday’s sermon was in front of me .. so of course ..  I stopped and listened ..  Toy is coming to the age where he is bringing in a long time friend and Pastor to assist him moving forward .. so what better to preach on than living in the moment ..  as I listened to him  .. haha .. he spoke of my brother George .. and yes .. of his last days on this earth ..  oh how I miss him ..  but yet ..  as I listened my mind went to the first day I walked in those doors .. to the first time I truly felt loved by a group of people .. who yes .. loved me in spite of .. and no .. not because of  .. to the first time I understood the true meaning of what it meant to be a true Believer .. and yes ..  the years have passed .. and yes .. I have come and gone many times throughout the years .. but no .. that never mattered .. for yes ..  I have always been welcomed back home with loving arms .. and I .. with a grateful heart .. so yes .. we savor the “now” .. we savor the moments in time that are so precious to us ..  we draw on our memories made when we need a reminder of that love .. we find ourselves seeing the humor in it all ..  even in the days of death .. for friends .. everything indeed is temporary  .. and yes .. when we leave this world .. we’ll reside where only love exists .. and yes ..  we’ll see those who we love in a different place and time .. for yes .. it’s true .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period
