Yesterday I was irritable and restless – and no – for no apparent reason other than old wounds popping up and filling my mind with nonsense.
There’s always a lot going on internally for me, you know those things that no one knows about, the hurt and the scars of time passed, along with – the emotions and responsibilities of today.
We all have had these burdens and obstacles to deal with in our lives – none of us escape them – however – we must remind ourselves when we’re irritable, that no – love is not irrtitable.
Jesus didn’t die for our punctuality, earthly reputation, convenience, or our leisure – but – He did die for souls.
It’s likely that the worth of the soul we’re irritable with – is absolutely more precious to God than the thing we desire – so no – we must not dishonor God whose image that person bears – by being irritable with them.
The truth is – there are necessary times for considered, thoughtful, measured, righteous, loving anger at priceless but sinful souls – but there is never a right time for irritability.
So yes – we get up today and we recognize and admit or own mistakes and shortcomings – we remind ourselves that we are all children of the precious One Most High, and yes – we need to act like it.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us high, and yes – love wins period
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
