I’m grateful to have an eclectic group of people in my life – when we surround ourselves with such – it gives us all a chance to learn and grow. How boring it would be to all to be the same.

God made us all different

Oh, it’s nice to be “like-minded” – however, it’s never nice to be “judgemental or shunned” because we’re not. We are called, each and everyone of us – to love one another “in spite of and not because of” and that’s it.

Jesus said “follow me” – He didn’t say to follow people.

So yes, we get our mindset on Him and we move through life doing as He directs us to do – we’re not all the same nor are we all called to be the same.

We are all simply called – to love those who cross our paths – and yes – to love them all the same.

And no – love doesn’t mean allowing people to hurt us or take from us to the point we can no longer hurt or give. There comes a time when we have to let go and let God work it out – and yes – it’s okay.

I’ve never understood why it is that people feel we must have the same beliefs and opinions to accept and love one another – if we don’t hang out with those who don’t know Him – who do we suppose will show them His love.

And yes, if we don’t love our Believing brothers and sisters – despite having opposing political and social views – how can we ever expect to look like Him – I mean after all – we are made in His image.

So yes – having a diverse and eclectic group of friends will not only prepare us for what’s coming – but it will also show our commitment to the many sided and endlessly creative Creator in whom we do follow.

Friends – we can never fear or avoid the differences of others – on the contrary – we are to embrace and love them just as He embraces and loves us.

The bottom line will always remain the same – no matter who we are or what we do –

We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period.”Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God” Romans 15:7
