God is so merciful and kind, and yes, He deserves our absolute loyalty. He actually commands it.
Yet, He understands our human limitations and our fickle hearts. So yes, instead of punishing us He treats us as the children He loves. He does this with compassion, with understanding, and yes, with mercy.
We need not ever fear that our foolish rebellion, and yes, many mistakes will ever sever our relationship with Him, nor will it change His faithful nature.
The truth is, whenever we return to Him. No matter the place or the time, He’ll forever welcome us .. full of mercy, and yes, freely pardoning.
It would be really awesome if we all made the effort to treat each other with the same mindset.
