We’re all designed to love others in word and deed. And the truth is – it’s much easier to say “yes” than “no”, for a number of reasons.
We feel compassion for the person’s struggle – we remember our own difficult situations – we don’t want them to feel disappointed and discouraged – we wonder if God has placed us in their life for this situation, or yes – we may even think that we are the only solution for them.
However, at the same time – our constant catering to someone can actually make the situation worse for them – simply because – we may be preventing them from experiencing some consequence for their behaviors, and – not learning to change how they operate in life.
Even at my worst times in life – when I felt lost and alone and when I felt tired and broken – I have continually come to the realization, that yes – this is the process of God’s disciplining – so we grow up and mature
Some days it’s so hard – yet, when we change our mindset and look within – we find the truth, and the truth is simple.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period
No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. — Hebrews 12:7
