It was early in the morning when the Mary’s arrived at the tomb to find the large stone rolled away and Jesus gone. In their very onfused state, they were met by an angel, and yes – the confusion grew.

I love what the angel told Mary, “Go, tell His disciples and Peter,” don’t forget Peter, make sure you let him know I’m coming for him and I’m anxious to see him – and let’s not forget the fact that Peter had denied the Lord and wept bitterly – he was a broken man.

Many of us have failed and are broken, and yes, what we must remember is – just as Jesus went looking for Peter, He is looking for us as well. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted And saves those who are crushed in spirit”

For you see, God is a God of restoration and so must we be – He leaves the ninety-nine to go after the one who has fallen and strayed – so yes – restoration is the mandate of the church and must be its mission.

When we’ve experienced failure as most of us have – Jesus is not condemning us – He makes intercession for us, and no, He hasn’t forgotten us – He’s now, today – continually looking for us.

It;s and amazing story of love – think about it – it was approximately fifty days later that Peter preached the first gospel message on the day of Pentecost and 3,000 people were saved, and the eleven stood with him in full support .

We all and still may be like sheep going astray – so let’s fix our eyes on Jesus this Easter and all of them beyond until He returns. He is our blessed hope, our redemption and redeemer – there is victory in the battle, and yes – He will bring us through to a successful conclusion.

When everything is coming against us let’s look up, lift up our heads, and fix our gaze upon Jesus. He alone brings hope and victor – for yes, He’s Alive – He has Risen from the grave and lives forever and a day – in the heart of all mankind.

We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period

“Let’s search for, encourage and restore the fallen and broken among us. We never know what they may accomplish for the glory of God!” 1 Peter 2:25
