There’s something about these Smoky Mountains that keeps bringing us back.  Yesterday we spent the day in Gatlinburg and up at Ober Gatlingburg.  Last time we were here, the fires had broken out and consumed the small stretch of town along with the mountains surrounding it. We were evacuated and weren’t able to get in. However, today the businesses are back up and running.  Many of the people have rebuilt, while many have not, for yes, when devastation takes over, as we well know, it’s hard to keep going without help.

As I looked around, it was obvious to see, that yes, people loving people is what brought this community back to life. And yes, it is and will be, the same for our neighbors to the east, for yes, we’re doing what God has called us to do, and yes, that’s simply to help, wherever and however each of us are able to help, and friends, as long as we continue to do that, all will be well.

For yes, the truth is, we serve a God of all, and no, He doesn’t need us to put religious labels on Him, nor put Him in a box, for He’s everywhere. He lives in our hearts and souls, and yes, in all living things, and no, there’s no fight. He created each of us equal, and yes, expects us to treat one another with that in mind. He provides for us every day an opportunity to love, to care, and yes, to start anew, and yes, He expects us to take the time to listen, and yes, to love one another.

Bottom line, we’re the ones that make it difficult. We put up our own barriers out of fear and lack of understanding.  So with this in mind, what we must remember as we moving through, is that yes, we’re all called to listen, we’re called to pray, while all the while, finding that common ground where love lives, because yes, again and again and again.. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period.

Godspeed Sweet Friends
