As I sit here in the stillness of the morning with Rudy Joe nestled at my feet, I feel God’s presence. I feel His everlasting arms engulfing my space and this is where our peace lies.
It’s good for each of us to take the time to “Be Still” at some point in our day while reflecting on life, and yes, to simply “Be Grateful”
For we are “resilient” people. We have been made this way. I’ve found myself using this word to describe us for years, and yes, even more so in the last days, and yes, will continue to draw on this fact as we move forward through this time of uncertainties we are currently facing.
So yes, let’s take a deeper look at what resilience means:
- Resilience is therefore considered as the capacity to face up to trauma without later being affected by it, or to find the means to reconstruct after it. In a broader sense, resilience is the capability to continue one’s life post-suffering or post-shock, in a way defining a kind of immediate or rediscovered stability.
- Resilience means knowing how to cope in spite of setbacks, or barriers, or limited resources. Resilience is a measure of how much you want something and how much you are willing, and able, to overcome obstacles to get it.
It has to do with our emotional strength
- Resilience is important for several reasons; it enables us to develop mechanisms for protection against experiences which could be overwhelming, it helps us to maintain balance in our lives during difficult or stressful periods, and yes, can also protect us from the development of some mental health difficulties and issues.
The benefits of resilience ..
- Coping with stress in a positive way is known as resilience, and it has many health benefits. It’s associated with longevity, lower rates of depression, and greater satisfaction with life.
There’s a sense of control, and it helps people feel more positive in general.
We are made this way – so in knowing and trusting in this God given fact – we will persevere, and no, we won’t give up, and yes, we will come out on the other side a little wiser, and yes, filled full of the fruit of His Spirit – for we know that we know that we know – this sweet friends is the backbone of our livelihood.
We are loved by love Himself. He love us big and He loves us strong, and yes .. love wins period
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law” Galatians 5:22-23
