None of us completely get what it means to rest in God.
It simply means to trust, to surrender, and yes, to not interfere. It means having so much faith in Him that we can finally have that undeniable perfect peace.
The truth is, by losing our life and turning it over to Him completely, we actually gain it back. We can finally get it through our thick skulls, that yes, He always wants what’s best for us, and no, no matter what happens that’s exactly what we’ll get.
Although it may not always appear so at the time, trust me, He’ll make it right. He simply never goes back on His promises, and yes, when we realize that this works, we become calm, and yes our anxiety is gone.
For yes, resting in God means exactly that, resting. We’re relaxed and stress-free. We have this unexplainable assurance that everything’s going to turn out just fine, no matter what we experience, for yes, no matter where or what we do, He’ll forever take us into His rest again, and yes, He’ll do this anytime we want. So simple, yet sometimes so hard.
Bottom line. God’s love is steadfast and unchanging. God’s love comforts us. God’s love is revealed to us through Jesus Christ. God’s love is poured into us through the Holy Spirit. God’s love compels us to love one another.
So yes .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period
