As I sit here this morning thinking about the day – talking to God about my ups and my downs, my needs, and yes, even my wants – my mind goes to my family and our business, and yes, how like so many of us are following in the footsteps, in some form or fashion, of those before us.

Our family has been in the service industry for as long as I can remember – my father was an awesome chef with a big personality. His recipes were never written down – if you didn’t pay attention while watching them made – you just didn’t learn to make them.

It was always just the right amount of this spice or that spice, along with just the right amount of salt – too little or too much could make the dish change completely.

With this in mind – let’s think about Jesus and how He told us we are the salt of the earth, and yes, that we need to be mindful that we’re carefully, and yes, purposely – seasoning the world around us in a proper manner.

Too little – may leave people glad to have seen us, yet, feeling nothing from the time they spent with us.

Too much – can be repelling and leave them not caring if they ever see us again.

The truth is – each and every one of us are called to bring out His flavors as we travel through this life, and yes, each one of us are responsible for the taste of His love that we leave while passing though.

So today, as with every new day we’re given – let’s get up, let’s get out, and yes – let’s season our way through,

We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period

“Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt among yourselves, and be at peace with each other.” Mark 9:50
