As we have or will learn as we travel through life – each day we take on – more often than not – follows the direction of the corners of our mouth.
My granddaughter asked me last week “MiMi, do you laugh all the time?!” I laughed and replied – “Absolutely, and if the truth be told – we all need to smile and laugh more often”
Little did Gracyn know when she ask me this – that it would turn into a daily thought for me.
At work each day – our little team – we laugh – we laugh at ourselves, and yes – we laugh at each other. We laugh so hard sometimes we cry – yet – we still manage to get our work done – most of it anyway (laugh), and yes – this is a good thing.
Think about it – “smiling” – it works wonders. When we want to instantly improve our mood – all we have to do is smile – even when we don’t feel like it.
When we do – our mood gets better and we can feel it. We can feel the energy inside us, that simply – helps us to be more effective, more often.
And that sweet friends is a good thing.
God wants us to laugh. He wants us to be joyful. He wants us to practice laughing at ourselves, and yes – at the situations we face.
We can never ever underestimate the power of laughing and smiling – these tools are simply – good medicine for the soul – and with this we find – it’s so much easier to take things calmly, while never – allowing things to get under our skin.
Bottom line – each day is a gift that we’ve been given – and we need to enjoy it. It’s in our smile and laughter that just may change someone else’s life – or at least – change that moment in their day.
So yes – with this truth, let the laughter begin – let’s get ourselves out on this beautiful day. and yes – simply make a difference.
