Friendship, it’s a beautiful experience when we have someone we can truly trust, someone who will support us, even if it hurts their own interest, for yes, a true friend understands our motives and needs, and yes, will be with us without any scrutiny or criticism. They’ll come forward to help, without any demands, they’ll be with us in times of need, and yes, they’ll do this without showing or expecting anything in return, for yes, genuine friendship involves a shared sense of caring and concern, a desire to see one another grow and develop, with yes, a hope for each other to succeed in all aspects of life.
Yes, friendships like this are few and far between. We live busy lives, and yes, we’re mostly caught up in what’s in front of us. The good news, we have Jesus, and yes, He’s the best friend we’ll ever have. With Him we don’t ever have to feel alone, for yes, He’s our helper, our confidant, and yes, our very essence of hope. He’s our example of what a friend should be.
So yes, it’s with hope and love, we can strive to be the same.
Bottom line. As we move through life, and yes, as we encounter one another, what we must stay mindful to remember, is that yes, true friendship involves action, it involves sharing thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement, or yes, without negative criticism, just as He teaches us.
