When we think about how hard it is to change ourselves – it’s then we come to understand what little chance we have in trying to change others.
Point being – we might as well start where we have the best chance of making a difference, and yes, that’s within ourselves. Lord knows I personally, can always use a fresh start in making a difference within myself and certainly with others.
“We don’t change what we are -we change what we think we are”
So yes, as long as we keep looking out there somewhere in the world for the answer, or for someone else to blame for why all our efforts fall short – we’ll continue to fail to take notice of the only common denominator in each and every circumstance in our lives – ourselves.
Socrates once said, “The unexamined life is not worth living” It’s good to remember, that yes, we grow a little every time that we don’t take advantage of somebody else’s weakness.
So with this truth – we continually stay mindful to always ask God to bless them, and yes, to strengthen our own relationship with Him, in the right here and the right now – whenever and wherever that may be.
