As most of you know .. I’m a hugger .. if I see you .. don’t care who you are .. I’m gonna hug you .. my memory can’t tell me right now when all this .. “hugging” .. began .. but this .. I can say .. hugs are a good thing .. that’s right .. “give a hug .. get a hug” .. oh yes .. hugs .. they are comforting .. they are loving .. and .. they encourage those who receive them .. as well as .. those who give them .. two fold therapy .. so .. as I think on hugging .. my mind goes to Our God .. and how .. His hugs are so timely .. yes .. He hugs us good .. they soothe us .. they comfort us .. and .. they calm us .. and .. the awesome thing about Him and His hugs .. they are never late in offering His affection .. or .. too busy to stop and embrace us .. for His Spirit that lives within .. will gently caress our burdened shoulders .. and .. rub out the raw pain in our very backs .. for simply .. His compassion never fails us .. His mercy .. it’s new everyday .. His hugs .. they hold on tight until healing occurs .. and friends .. His hugs .. they don’t come on the run like most do .. no .. they come when we stand still .. when we slow down .. when we hear Him say .. ‘Hush .. I have this’ .. ahh yes .. when He says to us .. ‘be still .. let Me hold you’ .. ‘rest in My arms’ .. for .. it’s in His hug .. we learn to stay stationary by faith .. trusting that the right activities will get done in His perfect timing .. friends .. it’s when we take the time to sit with Him .. and simply .. allow Him to hug us through His unconditional love .. that we receive strength for our journey .. so .. with this .. we get up .. and .. we get our hug on .. for .. it’s an awesome start .. for a glorious day .. oh yeah .. Love Wins Period.
