It’s St Patrick’s day .. and yes .. as we go into this day .. many of us will celebrate the .. “green” .. haha .. green beer .. green hair .. and yes .. green clothing .. all in remembrance of this remarkable man .. a man that was captured by Irish pirates and taken to Ireland as a slave to herd and tend sheep .. for yes .. at that time .. Ireland was a land of pagans .. yet Patrick .. like so many of us do when we’re struggling .. turned to God .. and yes .. like so many of us do .. he drew comfort and strength from Him .. for yes .. He loved the Lord with all his heart .. he often used shamrocks to explain the Holy Trinity .. and yes .. by his simple effort .. entire kingdoms were eventually converted to Christianity after hearing his message .. He preached .. and yes .. converted all of Ireland for over forty years .. He worked many miracles and wrote of his love for God in “Confessions”.. he was a humble and gentle man .. whose love and total devotion .. along with his total trust in Him .. should absolutely .. be a shining example to each of us today .. for yes .. it was his trust in God and of the importance of his mission that he feared nothing .. not even death .. for he knew .. just like we know today .. that yes .. God is love .. and yes .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period

“The love of God and his fear grew in me more and more .. as did the faith .. and my soul was rosed .. so that .. in a single day .. I have said as many as a hundred prayers and in the night .. nearly the same .. I prayed in the woods and on the mountain .. even before dawn .. I felt no hurt from the snow or ice or rain.”
