Easter – it was early in the morning, just like it is right now. The fog had not yet lifted yet the “Mary’s” headed for the tomb where our beloved Jesus has been laid.
We all know the story. The angel had already rolled the stone away. Not so Jesus could walk out because He didn’t really need a door.
No – the stone was rolled away for those beautiful two women to see that He was no longer there, and no, His body had not been stolen, for yes “He has Risen” just like He said He would.
It was then, as Mary fell in anguish, that yes, she heard His voice, she saw His face, and yes, she proclaimed …
“He’s Alive, He’s Alive!”
What an incredible moment in time for us to be able to reflect on this morning – as Believers, the resurrection of Jesus is the most important event in the history of the world.
It gives us an unending amount of hope, even when things might appear at their darkest. He walked His talk, and yes, He made the toughest walk ever made. He carried that heavy cross all the way to Golgotha, and then, in the most terrible way possible, He died.
Oh but wait! – three days later, came the miracle of His Resurrection, and yes, there was doubt and skepticism at the time by His own Followers – however, He put that to rest by simply appearing to them.
He even let Thomas examine the nail holes in His hands and the pierce in His side. it was then they knew the truth …
“He’s Alive!”
So today, we should stay mindful of the fact, that yes, we’re the blessed ones. We believe – we believe, even though we weren’t present those two thousand plus years ago when He rose from the grave – we are just as blessed, if not more so, as the disciples that where that very day.
We’re stepping out entirely on faith, and the way we see it – we’re very fortunate to have such an opportunity to do just that.
“Our Lord has Risen”, and yes, those very words are every bit as exciting and meaningful today, as they were back then.
Our God, He isn’t some being off in some remote land – no way – He lives in each of us, and it’s in every minute of every single day, that yes, He’s concerned about our well being.
And no – we have no clue as to how He does all He does at the same time, but then again, who really cares – for yes, we know that we know that we know – in Him is where we place our hope and our trust.
Even if it means being in a million places at once, knowing our most private thoughts, knowing our secret hopes, and yes, knowing our unspoken prayers – He’s with us.
He’s not a bottle to pull off the shelf when we have a problem in our lives – no, He’s an ever present helping Spirit, and yes, we are “resurrection people”.
Simply meaning – a people called to a new life, and yes, called to rise up and follow His Living example.
Think about it – If He hadn’t risen from the dead, He would only be remembered as a wonderful teacher – however, by rising from the grave as a man, He showed us, that yes, we could also overcome death with eternal life – He was the One who gained that very promise for us, and it’s to Him that we owe our salvation.
He has destroyed the sting of death. He walked His talk on this glorious Resurrection Day – and yes, we should mindfully do all we can do – to do the same.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period
Happy Easter Everybody – Enjoy this Beautiful Resurrection Day!
‘But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here, He has risen just as He said! Come see the place where He lay” Matthew 28:5-6
