It’s funny how as we get older .. things change .. they look different .. we want less .. and yes .. everything seems to become a little easier .. most mornings I wake up to the sound of Lisa the cat .. haha .. jumping up on the blind telling me it’s time to get up .. haha .. how does she know to do that .. I don’t know .. but she does it every single morning .. when it’s before four .. haha .. I throw pillows her way to let her know .. no .. haha .. it’s not time .. however .. all joking aside .. and yes .. as crazy as it is .. it’s that little piece of home that that simply fills our heart .. like the stillness in the air as I sit here and write .. the tune of “Hey Jude” that plays every hour on our pendulum swinging clock we bought in Savannah fifteen years ago .. haha .. yes .. it’s those simple little things we all have that make us feel good .. like right now .. sitting here thinking and thanking God for the many blessings He’s so graciously given us .. no .. they’re not monetary items .. for money .. haha .. it can’t buy this stuff .. no way .. for yes friends .. again and again .. it’s in those things we all have and love .. simple things .. like the sound of our granddaughters laughter .. the way the sun shines just right in the morning across the sandy palmettos in the yard .. the wall of memories hanging so beautifully to see .. haha .. and yes .. even the sound of Lisa slamming the blinds .. haha .. that do indeed help us make the simple choice .. to simply get up each day .. and yes .. live that grateful life .. haha .. you know .. the one we all grow to love .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period
