Friends .. living a life of faith brings so much joy .. but .. it also .. involves great pain .. haha .. yes .. the pain that we feel as God prunes from our lives those things .. that simply .. don’t honor Him .. for the truth is .. when we stepped into this life as a Believer .. we brought with us .. a whole lot of baggage .. haha .. the Bible calls it flesh .. you know .. that old thinking we had .. of what we could do .. in our own power and totally apart from any dependence on Him .. yes .. it’s the pride .. the anger .. and .. the downright selfishness .. that we all know too well .. haha .. oh but wait .. we do have those things that produce outwardly good .. like .. giving money and helping the needy .. and yes .. those things are good .. BUT .. if they stem from our flesh .. they’re totally offensive to Him .. simply because .. these are the things that feed our pride and often are .. a simple attempt .. to balance out .. our own wrong doing and guilt .. haha .. so friends .. with us .. He simply has His work cut out .. He has to tear away our deeds of the flesh .. yes .. both good and bad .. simply so .. we can learn to totally depend on Him in all we say and do .. and yes .. sweet friends .. it can be a painful process at times .. but .. as most of us have learned and can simply trust .. it’s a process worth the grind .. for in the end .. we’re not only learning .. to love others with His kind of love .. but .. to love ourselves .. the very same way .. haha .. oh yeah people .. Love Wins Period
