Friends .. the senseless killing of fifty people in Orlando over the weekend .. simply .. was not part of God’s big plan .. no .. in fact .. it was a hindrance of His plan .. it was simply and plainly .. the misuse of human freedom .. and no .. He did not stop it .. for the exact same reason .. He doesn’t stop us from texting and driving .. or .. living self-absorbed lives .. for friends .. the freedom to make choices is an essential part of what it means to be human .. yet .. haha .. He’s not left us entirely to our own devices .. for yes .. He seeks daily to influence all of humanity .. it’s the very heart of His story .. the story of a Savior coming to show us the way .. of light overcoming darkness .. and yes .. of His work to save the world .. for friends .. we must remember .. He Himself became subject .. to the very evil .. humanity is capable of .. however .. thankfully .. that’s not the end of the story .. no .. in the end of this story .. we simply find .. death .. hate .. and yes .. even evil .. will never have the final word .. no way .. for even now .. with this tragedy over the weekend .. we’ve already found that simply .. this act of evil .. has produced .. a thousand acts of goodness .. we’ve seen this throughout our lives .. and yes .. we’ve felt it in our hearts .. oh yes .. this terrible tragedy has touched our nation .. and yes .. has aroused kindness and compassion in many hearts .. for friends .. the truth is .. while some will misuse their freedom to perpetrate pure evil .. millions will respond .. by feeling compelled .. to use their freedom .. to simply .. do good .. no .. everything doesn’t happen for a reason .. if that reason means .. evil is part of His plan .. for He is Love .. and yes .. He’s constantly ensuring us .. that simply .. evil will not prevail .. and yes .. light .. will ultimately .. overcome the darkness .. bottom line .. if we follow His lead .. our work is .. to always and forever .. simply .. push back the darkness .. for friends .. hate comes from fear .. and simply .. love and fear .. cannot co-exist .. so .. again and again and again .. haha .. oh yeah .. Love Wins Period
