Friends .. the phrase .. “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” .. haha .. it’s not true .. no .. words can hurt .. trust me I know .. I grew up in a verbal abusive world .. and yes .. was attracted to it for many years .. heck .. if I wasn’t around someone who was verbally abusive in some form or fashion .. haha .. I felt like I was in the wrong place .. you know .. I just didn’t fit in .. and yes .. I carried that baggage for a long time .. and yes .. the truth is .. words do wound us .. and yes .. sometimes those wounds .. they run deep and sting like crazy .. for a long long time .. for words thrown carelessly can break spirits .. and yes .. they can break hearts .. haha .. oh but .. on the other hand .. words can be healing .. and yes .. they can spread much joy .. that’s right .. the very words we speak can give life to others .. haha .. while filling our own souls with joy as we speak them .. bottom line .. verbal sticks and stones may not break our bones .. haha .. but friends .. they can destroy lives .. even the lives of those who speak them .. so with that .. the next time any of us are tempted to throw those verbal stones .. we have to stop .. and yes .. look to God .. for the mindfulness .. to simply .. replace those words with words .. that give life .. and yes .. make peace .. it’s been a long road for me to move past the hurt and pain that came from such words .. but friends .. when we accept .. haha .. it is what it is .. and yes ..it was what is was .. we’re able to move on over to His side .. where we simply find .. the truth .. haha .. in His peaceful and loving Word .. haha .. oh yeah .. Love Wins Period
