God is love, and yes, it’s when we know and experience His love that we’re able to share it with others.

It would be so awesome if all of us simply loved each other with His love. Think about it – there’d be no gossip, no judgment or criticism.

No exclusive attitudes that make others feel rejected, and yes – people’s needs would be met far more than they are today.

After all – His Word does tell us that Jesus loved His people to the “highest degree” and yes, the love He showed to them actually shocked them.

We need to shock a few people – including ourselves.

Love is not just a feeling or a theory – it’s a decision we make and an action we take.  We need to understand that if we want to have meaningful relationships with others then we need to invest in their lives by giving them support.

Encouraging them, helping them to meet their needs and serving them – as we’re able.

It’s easy to do for the people we like, or yes, people we want to impress.  However, when it comes to doing something for someone we don’t know or don’t have an interest in – it can be quite a different story.

The truth is, sometimes we don’t even feel like dealing with our own people – we’ll serve at church or in our community, but yet, we’re not willing to do the same at home.

The lesson is simple – what we do in front of people publicly means squat.  If we’re not living a life that pleases Him at home, then yes, it’s going to cause us much frustration – until we finally get it.

We have to come to the reality that we’re naturally selfish, and yes, we have to make a conscious decision to think of others on purpose.

Because if we don’t – we’ll miss many opportunities to serve them.

God wants us to have success while enjoying our lives, and yes, He wants us to die to self, while yes, getting over being the center of our world – then shift our focus on looking for someone who needs our help, and yes, do this each and every day.

Friends, I don’t always do what I “preach” – oh, my heart and mind wants to – yet the enemy sees it a different way.  So yes, it’s work, and yes, it takes patience with others and most often, with ourselves.

However, it’s when we follow these simple yet vital steps, that we’ll find, we’re actually more satisfied – more content – more peaceful, and yes, much more happier than we’ve ever been before.

We are loved by love Himself.  He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
1 John 4:16
