God is not looking for perfection from any of us.
He knows we’re going to make mistakes – all He wants from us is a pure and simple relationship.
The truth is – He loves us deeply. He knows us better than we know ourselves, and yes, He accepts us just the way we are.
However – He does wants us to keep growing in Him so we can have everything He has planned for us.
We all have room to grow.
So yes, when we’re in the wrong we press past the pains of our hurts and mistakes, and yes, we watch those feelings catch up with the truth
It’s then, in this mindset – we no longer have to spend our days feeling rotten about ourselves when we make a mistake – instead, we hang on to His truth, and yes, we keep pressing on.
And no – there’s simply no reason whatsoever not to do so.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period
“I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.”
