As I was listening to a story of someone telling a story of how they couldn’t be friends with someone anymore because they did something to someone, and that someone – was someone they knew.
First of all, I thought to myself – how this could be, then secondly, I had to laugh. I had to laugh simply because, as we all know – there’s always two sides to every story.
We laugh because it’s funny, but yet – it’s true.
When we see trouble between other people, we want to pick a side – heck, most of the time we don’t even know the story, but we’re picking a side, and that’s the way that is.
Crazy but true.
Me personally, I don’t like sides – I’ve been the brunt of one of those sides, and friends – it hurts, and I don’t want to be hurt nor do I don’t want to hurt anyone or anything – I want to leave the hurts behind, while constantly moving forward in love.
It’s amazing what we have to do to make that happen – life lessons show us that it always seems to come right back to “self”
The truth is – until we can overcome our own “self” we will never be able to forgive the wrongs done to us. It’s the “self” in us that just won’t let it go.
So friends, please please trust me when I say – whatever it is that puts us in this state, we simply cannot think about it anymore – we have to ask God to help us overcome our own “selfishness” – and when we do – we’ll find that there’s nothing in us that can even remember the wrong .
We’ve now been set free – free from the past hates and fears and free to earnestly pray for both sides of the story, for we know that we know that we know – He is faithful to bring us “through” to the other side, right where His awesome glory resides – that wonderful place of perfect peace.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period
