I totally get it – some days are tougher than others – we get up on the wrong side of the bed and we see nothing but the obstacles ahead.
However, no matter how we get up, and no, no matter what’s going on in our life or around it – we need to get our smile on, for yes, in reality, we have a lot to smile about.
Think about it – we’ve been touched by God’s love, we’ve been touched by His daily care, and yes, we’ve been touched by His perfect purpose for our lives, and now – we have a job to do.
It’s time to bring Him to the people. We don’t have to preach on the miraculous things He’s done for us – although He’s done some pretty miraculous things. Nor do we have to discuss theology or His plan for the world. The truth is, we show Him off best when we humbly reach out to one another with compassion, patience, kindness, and yes, understanding.
It can begin with a simple smile – that warm smile and friendly greeting that can touch a weary spirit full of sorrows way beyond our imagination. We may get a response or we may not, no matter.
What we do know – a smile is an action of love, and yes, love is and always will be – the best response.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes – love wins period
