Today’s a special day .. it’s a day to celebrate a wonderful friend .. for yes .. as we all know .. true friends are not easily found .. you know the ones .. they stick closer than family .. haha .. and yes .. they often know us much better .. they wish .. and yes .. they pray better things for us .. than we often wish .. and yes .. pray for ourselves .. they believe in us when our faith us weak .. and yes .. they make space for us when our lives fall apart .. they rejoice with us when all is well .. and yes .. most importantly .. they remind us in every encounter .. who and what .. is most important .. we trust them .. for yes .. this is essential when it comes to friendship .. oh yes .. we all need that someone who we can share our lives .. our thoughts .. our feelings .. and yes .. even our frustrations with .. we need that someone we can share our deepest thoughts and secrets .. haha .. without worrying they will end up on “the facebook” the next day .. for yes .. faithfulness and loyalty are key .. without them we often feel betrayed .. left out .. and yes .. lonely .. for yes .. in true friendship there is no backbiting .. no negative thought .. and no .. no turning away .. and yes .. what’s so beautiful about this is .. that yes .. God loves us so much that He places these special people in our lives .. for as real friends .. we encourage one another .. and yes .. we forgive one another when there is an offense .. we support each other in times of struggle .. and yes .. we are dependable .. we develop an unconditional love .. and yes .. no matter what happens in this life we live .. we always want the best for our friend .. so today .. in honor of friendship and love .. I personally would like to say .. thank you for the friendship you have given .. not only to our family in a whole .. but most importantly .. for the friendship and love that you have given my son Donald throughout the years .. it’s been a wonderful gift to us all ..
