We all know the famous phrase from Forrest Gump .. “Mama always said .. life is like a box of chocolates .. you never know what you’re gonna get” .. haha .. and yes .. we laugh because it came from a movie that warmed our hearts .. however .. when we think about it .. that phrase .. it’s so true in so many ways .. for yes .. we get up each morning .. we have plans .. however .. we’re really unsure what the day may actually hold .. sometime they go as planned .. and yes .. sometime they move in a completely unplanned direction .. for no .. we never really know what may or may not happen in a day .. just like that box of chocolates .. there are days filled with nuts and caramel .. which I personally love .. while others are like the ones with maple nut cream .. which I don’t like a bit .. however .. we go through them enjoying the good ones when .. “wham” .. we’re faced with a day where tragedy strikes .. or yes .. difficulty comes straight out of nowhere .. so yes .. it’s then that we sit the chocolates on the shelf leaving them untouched .. for it’s these days .. that no .. there’s no sweetness to be had .. but yet .. this is where our trust kicks in .. for we know .. that yes .. God knows .. and yes .. even though life as it pertains to circumstances is uncertain for us .. He’s here to comfort us .. and yes .. He’s here to remind us .. as many times as He has to .. that yes .. He’s here for us .. that yes.. He’s our constant companion .. that yes .. He’s our steadfast friend .. and that yes .. He’s our consistently loving and merciful God .. for friends .. He doesn’t keep promises like we do .. no .. with Him it doesn’t matter what chocolate we’re in the middle of right now .. He’s hanging with us .. and yes .. He’ll continue to hang with us .. right on though any and all circumstances that we may face .. and yes .. because we trust in this .. we can grab hold of Him with both hands as He leads us to safety .. and yes .. He’ll do this every single time .. for the truth is .. we know that we know that we know .. no matter what comes our way .. this faith .. this confidence .. and yes .. this hope that we hang on to .. it’s our unbreakable spiritual lifeline .. it’s His box of chocolates .. and friends .. they’re the best on the shelf .. and yes .. they’re the sweetest and most satisfying of them all .. so yes .. let’s binge! .. let’s hang on to Him who is love Itself .. for yes yes yes .. always and forever .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period
