As I turn the page to yet another year, I’m humbly grateful to be alive. This is a year that we’ll all remember. A year of devastating destruction to our neighbors to the short east of us. As I look at the pictures of what has actually happened and what these wonderful people “our people” have encountered, my view will never be the same. Many of you have been over and witnessed this first hand, and yes, I personally thank you for doing what we were created to do, love one another, and yes, bear one another’s burdens, for no, we may not be able to alter anyone’s journey, however, we can make sure no one walks it alone. The truth is, and yes, as most of us have learned through life lessons, God is aware of our burdens, and yes, He will give us the strength to strengthen others. This does not mean our problems will disappear or the world will suddenly be at peace, however, our prayers do not fall on deaf ears. The service we provide when we bear another’s burden is crucially important, for yes, it’s literally His work and His hand moving through us. So as I sit here this morning, my page turning day, heaven has never seemed closer, as I’m seeing His love manifested in the kindness, and yes, devotion of people so good, and yes, so pure, that “angelic” is the only word that comes to mind, for yes, it’s when we strive to lighten another persons load, that yes, we’re truly angels of mercy in the most literal sense. So on this day, my birthday wish is simple. May each and everyone of you receive back a hundredfold all that you try to give, for yes, we’re created in His image, and yes, we’re loved by love Himself, and yes, yes, yes .. always and forever .. haha .. oh yeah .. love wins period.
