It’s Thanksgiving Eve – as the day goes on, families will be joining families, sons and daughters will come home, friends will come over, grandchildren will run and play, as yes, everyone waits anxiously for the Thanksgiving Day Feast.
This year has been a little rough on our little family but praise God we’re moving through it by His grace, and yes, with His love. Bob will be home this afternoon after 4 weeks of treatment in Jacksonville for the weekend, and then yes, return for the last leg of healing. I’m a little nervous with butterflies in my stomach, haha – it’s kind of like a school girl crush. I’ve loved him for so long. I’ve missed his smile, his heart and most of all his wisdom to keep me in the right state of mind.
I am blessed, like so many of us, to have such steady love from so many in our lives.
As I sit here in the quiet of this early morning, I count my many blessings. Even with the not so good, the hurt, and yes, the pain that we all go through, we have so much to be thankful for. So many blessings in the midst of it all, and yes, these are the things we must focus on. These are the things that help pull us through.
So yes, rather than focus on our own troubles, let’s all stay mindful to focus on others. Let’s focus on the lost and the homeless, the bound and imprisoned, the sick and the heartbroken. Praying fervently for each of them, as yes, that is what Jesus wants us to do.
The truth is, the more we praise Him, the more He lifts us up.
So yes, it’s when we take our eyes off ourselves, and yes, place them on Him and others around us, our lives become whole and our troubles seem to fade. He is a good God with a good plan for us all, and yes, in Him we can always and forever trust.
We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes, always and forever .. love wins period
” You are the people of God; He loved you and chose you for His own. So then, you must clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Be tolerant with one another and forgive one another whenever any of you has a complaint against someone else. You must forgive one another just as the Lord has forgiven you. And to all these qualities add love, which binds all things together in perfect unity. The peace that Christ gives is to guide you in the decisions you make; for it is to this peace that God has called you together in the one body. And be thankful” Colossians 3:12-17
