We have this mindset that church is a place we go to on Sundays, so yes, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that church is not a building – we are the church.

Paul describes the church as people dedicated to doing whatever it takes to reach out and help others, for yes, each and every one of us have a responsibility to serve and help others in need as “the church”. It’s when we love and care for one another that we get to see Jesus change lives.

Way too often, we see a need, and yes, we wait for our pastor to take responsibility, however, that’s not the way church works. Please don’t misunderstand – we need our pastor as he is our friend and confident and our biblical teacher. He is the one who helps keep us grounded while sharing the message of Christ to encourage us within, and yes, to get us out to be the church, we are made to be – as yes, we’ve all been given skills, given abilities and given opportunities to serve.

The truth is, the Word references the church, to people, not a place. For yes, the church is a body of Believers that live out the Gospel in their words and actions. The church is at its best when people inside the building take Jesus’ message outside of the building and serve those they meet.

So yes, with this being said, and yes, with the stay at home order in place, may we all take this opportunity and use this time, to reflect on what we are made to be for Him, and yes, to be for one another. May we use this time to fellowship with Him while spreading His goodness in whatever platform we have available to us – social media, face time and phone time – write a letter or send a card – there are so many ways to reach out to one another and yes, to encourage one another during this season of our lives, for yes, we know that we know that we know – “this too shall pass”

We are loved by love Himself. He loves us big and He loves us strong, and yes .. love wins period

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works” Hebrews 10:24
